Personal Development Plan
Welcome to the Personal Development Plan! This section of the Appointee Portal will help us work together to help you prepare for the field and to continue to develop in years to come.
On the these pages, you will a checklist of ways to fulfil the field requirements. You will also discover a list of recommended resources, representing a range of theological backgrounds, cultural perspectives and topics. These resources do not necessarily reflect the views of our organisation in their entirety – and as an evangelical cross-denominational organisation our members hold a variety of positions on secondary issues – but we believe that each has value as you prepare and grow. On the other hand, it is not an exhaustive list and other resources may also be recommended by the office team or field leadership. We know that it looks daunting, but you are not expected to make use of all or even most of the resources listed. Instead, we’d recommend using an appropriate cross-section to give you a well-rounded view on each topic.
Throughout these pages:
â–ºResources marked with an arrow are videos, audio tracks or interactive courses.
Starred requirements are arranged by sending office. *
Although you are primarily responsible for your personal development, we are committed to journeying alongside you and investing in you as much as possible. When you join a ministry team, your primary contact point is the field leadership in collaboration with the Member Care team in the sending office.
